Brandy allows you to host your brand space under your own (sub)domain, giving you a professional and seamless experience when sharing brand assets with your team and clients. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up a subdomain for your Brandy brand portal.
Step 1: Choose Your Subdomain
Decide on a subdomain that represents your brand, such as brand.yourdomain.com or assets.yourdomain.com. This ensures consistency with your brand identity.
Step 2: Specify Your Subdomain in Brandy
- Log in to your Brandy account.
- Navigate to Settings > Custom Domain.
- Enter your desired (sub)domain in the provided field (e.g.,
mydomain.comorsubdomain.mydomain.com).
Step 3: Access Your Domain Provider
Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or any other DNS provider) where your main domain is registered.
Step 4: Add an A Record
- Navigate to the DNS settings of your domain.
- Locate the option to add a new record.
- Choose A Record as the record type.
- Enter your desired subdomain (e.g.,
brand) in the Host field. - Point it to the IP address 143.198.138.124.
- Set the TTL (Time to Live) to the default or a low value (e.g., 300 seconds) for faster propagation.
- Save the record.
Step 5: Verify the Subdomain in Brandy
- Return to your Brandy account.
- Click Verify & Apply.
- Brandy will check your DNS settings and apply the subdomain once verified.
Step 6: Wait for DNS Propagation
DNS changes may take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate. You can check if your subdomain is active using online tools like DNS Checker.
