How to create a subdomain for your brand space?

Brandy allows you to host your brand space under your own (sub)domain, giving you a professional and seamless experience when sharing brand assets with your team and clients. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up a subdomain for your Brandy brand portal.

Step 1: Choose Your Subdomain

Decide on a subdomain that represents your brand, such as brand.yourdomain.com or assets.yourdomain.com. This ensures consistency with your brand identity.

Step 2: Specify Your Subdomain in Brandy

  1. Log in to your Brandy account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Custom Domain.
  3. Enter your desired (sub)domain in the provided field (e.g., mydomain.com or subdomain.mydomain.com).

Step 3: Access Your Domain Provider

Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or any other DNS provider) where your main domain is registered.

Step 4: Add an A Record

  1. Navigate to the DNS settings of your domain.
  2. Locate the option to add a new record.
  3. Choose A Record as the record type.
  4. Enter your desired subdomain (e.g., brand) in the Host field.
  5. Point it to the IP address 143.198.138.124.
  6. Set the TTL (Time to Live) to the default or a low value (e.g., 300 seconds) for faster propagation.
  7. Save the record.

Step 5: Verify the Subdomain in Brandy

  1. Return to your Brandy account.
  2. Click Verify & Apply.
  3. Brandy will check your DNS settings and apply the subdomain once verified.

Step 6: Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes may take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate. You can check if your subdomain is active using online tools like DNS Checker.

Step 7: Enjoy Your Custom-Branded Brand Space

Once verified, your Brandy brand space will be accessible via your custom subdomain, providing a professional and seamless brand experience for your team and clients.
